I’ve always struggled with communication. Often finding myself unable to express my thoughts or build meaningful connections.
“How to talk to anyone, 92 little tricks for big success in relationships.”
— Leil Lowndes
I recently started reading this book, and I’ll be sharing key insights from it as I progress. Here’s a summary of the first few techniques that stood out to me.
Before you even speak, the way you smile, make eye contact, and carry yourself can help you appear more confident, warm, and approachable.
Smile warmly — not too quickly or automatically. Wait a moment, look at the person, and then smile slowly. It makes your smile feel more genuine and personal.
Maintain strong eye contact to build trust and show confidence. Hold eye contact a bit longer than usual, even after the person stops speaking, to create deeper connection.
If you’re in a group, keep your eyes glued to the person you’re most interested in. Others will notice where your attention lies, which makes that person feel import and valued.
Imagine a string pulling you up from ;your teeth to imoprove your posture. This makes you appear more confident, alert and charismatic.
